Exhibition PUG for DAN

Hey guys there is a few European pro's looking to form a CTF team for the upcoming Quakecon LAN. They would like to see how Dan plays CTF and because I want the level of skill to be reasonable it will be a private match pug

Day: Thursday, 29th
Time: 8:00pm AEST

Mode: CTF
Maps: Ctf7, Ctf8, Ctf10, Ctf2

Also TDM VODS
Semi Final: max/ray vs dan/steve (no casting)
Semi Final: zlr/diabz vs chv/grd
Grand Final: chv/grrd vs dan/steve

CTF10 will be an incredibly boring decider. CTF7, CTF7 and a CTF7 decider IMO.

I think that if this was made into a regular thing, it would be awesome (especially for the CTF/TDM scene). You could even have sign-ups or something for weekly pugs.

i'd be keen but ill be @ splendour. Awesome idea, although I'd change the map pool to 7/8/2.

i could have sworn i posted something in this thread this morning.

anyway, count me in if start is at 8pm. can't do 7.

also, ctf7, ctf8 and ctf10. DEFINITELY have ctf10, since its the only map in the pool which dan has played heaps before. makes no sense not to have it :/ this isn't about what other people prefer, just want to show off dan's skills, right?

also, with the "lets make this a regular thing"... we've tried before, it fails after a week or two.

I think something that is organized on/by 4SG (and shown on the front page) is going to attract a lot more players. Look at QLTV, they usually cast pugs with some of their top CTF players and those are pretty exciting.

The main problem would be the skillgap between players, but I'm sure that can be resolved by having two pugs going at once (eg. selected players for one server and an opens for everyone else).

I don't see why it wouldn't be worth a try.

in all honesty yeah it is just to get some replays of dan playing ctf for some quakecon players im trying to get him in with

It'd be a pug so proper teams wouldn't be playing, it'd probably be the same individual players every week though. Also if they were casted/streamed that would be awesome and attract attention to them.
